Published in 1936, In Dubious Battle is considered the first major work of Pulitzer Prize-winning author John Steinbeck.The movie tells the story of an activist (Nat Wolff) who joins a labor movement for California farm workers in the 1930s. It also features a romantic subplot concerning a female worker, Lisa (Selena Gomez).
