Plot: Follows spymaster Professor Wolfgang McGee, an academic who secretly manages a roster of espionage assets. These assets, referred to as Romeo or Juliet spies, are informants engaged in intimate long or short term relations with state intelligence targets. Wolfgang is a semi-retired Romeo operator, having worked his way up from youth in an unnamed and officially deniable "service" under the umbrella of Canada's Intelligence Community.Because of the attempt on his life which he believes was orchestrated by the Mexican drug cartel, Miguel is on the run with Eva, he who also believes he will not make it out of this situation in Canada alive. He is now willing to speak to Wolfgang, which Eva is able to arrange. Where to meet where they will be safe becomes an issue, especially after Wolfgang learns that Al has made a deal with Foy to trade the Gascoynes for Miguel. Through this situation, Eva's role become less important. While Miguel and Wolfgang may want to see Eva leave if only for her own safety, she may have thoughts of her own on the matter. Rufus feels more and more like he is being pushed in directions he doesn't want, and never signed up for when he agreed to work for Wolfgang. With dissent within the ranks, those rank and file want him to take out and replace Vince. And he always gets the feeling that Wing Lei has a more dangerous side he has not yet seen, that dangerous side which could mean his life. Rufus comes to conclusions about how he will handle these situations, until Wolfgang, upon being debriefed by Rufus, discovers some information which could be a game changer for what is best for Rufus and for his usefulness as a Romeo. Wolfgang and Lily's relationship is going strong on the surface, while Lily begins to delve deeper into Wolfgang's life, which is affected by a letter she receives, and Wolfgang knows that he is being "watched". And General Wu learns that he will probably be sent to a palliative care hospital in the city, the news which he sees more as an opportunity.
