Plot: The Griswolds win a vacation to Europe on a game show, and thus pack their bags for the continent. They do their best to catch the flavor of Europe, but they just don't know how to be be good tourists. Besides, they have trouble taking holidays in countries where they CAN speak the language...European Vacation (originally given the working title Vacation '2' Europe) is a 1985 American comedy film based on a story by Hughes. It tells the story of the Griswold family wining a vacation tour across Europe where the usual havoc ensues.
